Be Right Back…

once again the blog has been neglected.  but…BIG changes are in store!!  have you heard that we’ve changed our name??  Leah Cook Photography…check out our new facebook page!  I’m so excited to update the blog and showcase some fantastic sessions from this past spring and summer.

this was taken at the Strand in Galveston…makes me giggle!

hope you’re enjoying summer!  and please don’t hesitate to contact me about holiday sessions –  only a few spots left!!

you know when

you know when you’ve just seen an amazing movie or read a book that touched your soul?  the kind of story that goes way beyond a night out or a rainy day…  one that you just can’t. stop. thinking. about?  you analyze the characters, rethink the plot, giggle at the goofy parts, and even relate it to your own life?

so that hasn’t happened to me in awhile.  ha!!  but what did happen had just the same impact.  I’d been waiting.  and waiting. and it lived up to expectations and then some.  not only was my time in Austin all I’d hoped it would be, it went beyond the workshop.  these last couple weeks have got me thinking.  I find myself re-playing a conversation had by new buddies + photography gurus…then I’ll randomly laugh about an inside joke or have an ‘ah ha’ moment during my own editing or at a client session.  seriously, what an inspiring experience that keeps on giving. thanks aren’t enough for Michele Anderson of Pinkle Toes Photography – you gave your all to us and the workshop was truly something to be remembered.  you’re not only a teacher, but I’m grateful to call you a friend as well.  and to the new girlies I hope to keep up with for years to come (check out their sites below) WOW – you made it even more meaningful and I learned from each of you.  thank you!!!

my photo-journey.  GOOD TIMES.  didn’t fully recognize the greatness that happened until I returned home.

oh, what’s that…you want more??  sure okay…slideshow images from behind the scenes, our gorgeous models, attendees, and our fearless leader…you’ve just got to see! enjoy! (click the arrow to play)

head shots from Miss Pinkle herself!!  so hard to be on the other side, but fun at the same time!

holy cow.  I haven’t blogged since MAY.  whoops.  quite the month.  just a quick note to say I’m here…and I’m swamped.  maybe I took on a few too many jobs.  I did attend an amazing workshop and will post about it soon.  for now, I’ll leave you with my little A – he didn’t have a nap today, so off to bed it was at 6:45…lucky for me there was just enough daylight in his room to snap some grainy sleep pics.
